PostSubject: rules   Wed Jul 21, 2010 7:08 am

Firstly welcome and I hope you all enjoy the YMOC This is a site was created and is run by enthusiasts, but we do have some rules to follow to help everyone get the most out of the forums.

2. Rules for posting to the forum
2.1 - Ensure that your new topics are in the correct forum.
It makes it easier to keep track of topics and saves the moderator team from constantly moving topics.
2.2 - Do not post topics or replies containing:
Subjects which have already been discussed numerous times (please Search first, especially the FAQ section).
Flames directed towards other users (locked on sight, possibly with a temporary ban).
Anything not relating to the original subject of the topic (although 'Off topic' Chat is rather flexible).
Images linked from other sites without their permission (simply giving a URL is much more polite).
Any derogratory comments based on age, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity or nationality (which will be met with a swift ban).
2.3 - Do not promote your own site, unless:
It's to show off something cool you've done.
It's a personal site.
It's to help somebody find something they're looking for.
2.4 - Do not post spam.
Spam includes advertisements, content deemed inappropriate or illegal, and flooding of the boards.
Spammers will receive a swift kick in the ass, as well as a lengthy ban.
2.5 - Do not make needless, incessant usage of:
Emoticons.
Line breaks or ALL-CAPS.
Nested quotes.
Giant fonts with ugly colours which makes it hard to read.
Swearing or derogatory terms.
Text Speak!
2.6 - Posting long url addresses
If the url address you are posting into a thread is too long it will annoyingly extend the page. In these cases please make use of the url function instead.
2.7 - Do not make unrequested personal contact with any committee member.
We work full time and do this in our spare time, please post a message in Dear Admin, we'll try to help you out as best we can.
The only exception is if it is of a personal or private matter in which case all messages and information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
2.8 - Your private messaging capability may be disabled if abused
A central list of IM, PM and e-mail abusers is kept, so repeat offenders will be banned.
2.9 - Ensure that your signature:
Does not contain excessively large images, annoying animations or offensive pictures or text.
It is not overly long
Follows all the rules applying to posts themselves.
Does not exceed 500 x 100 if it does you may find it gets replaced with the following

2.10 - Bumping posts is not aloud.
All replys to a post that are only there to bump it will be deleted.
For Sale posts that are bumped by the seller will be deleted completely.
2.11 - Cars for sale topics.
If you are posting a car for sale please post up pictures to support the sale and try to include pm for prices If you have any problems, just make a post in the appropriate forum, and somebody will be glad to help you and remember to check the FAQ sections.
The moderators are here to make everyones visit more enjoyable, so if you experience any problems with abusive users, please tell a moderator.
Finally from all on the admin team, we hope you enjoy the forum
